Emir Bautista

Emir Bautista is an award-winning international photographer, filmmaker, and painter whose creative journey spans multiple visual mediums. With a background in cinematography from the New York Film Academy and Langara College Film Arts, Emir has developed a keen eye for capturing powerful narratives.

His career highlights include working as a film documentarist with CNN-DOST Philippines and as a Photography and Videography Consultant for GMA. He has also collaborated with ABS-CBN shows and talents, earning accolades from international film festivals. Emir was honoured as an FDCP Film Ambassador in 2022 in recognition of his achievements.

Transitioning from filmmaking to painting, Emir brings his visual storytelling to canvas. His works focus on human portraits and the captivating depth of animal eyes, believing that “the eyes are the window to the soul.” This philosophy infuses his art with emotional resonance.

Emir has showcased his paintings in exhibitions held in Vancouver and Whistler, further enhancing his artistic presence. His passion for visual storytelling continues to evolve, seamlessly blending photography, filmmaking, and painting into evocative expressions of the human experience.
